About Community Days

The DuBois Volunteer Fire Department - Parade Committee is made up solely of approximately 75 Volunteer Firemen along with their friends and family. These dedicated volunteers work for six months out of the year to put on a festival in the park and the largest Firemen Parade in Western Pennsylvania.

The festival in the park is free to the general public: There are no admission charges or charges for entertainment or activities. There are food vendors which are made up primarily of non-profit organizations which use this festival as a way to raise funds and enlighten the community as to the services they offer.

Our mission is to bring back the sense of community to the area. It is also to help the non-profits get their message out to the community at large.

Community Days in the Park brings in several thousand people from all walk of life who live in Western Pennsylvania.

A Letter From The Community Days And Parade Committees

It has been thirty-one (31) years since Community Days inception, on behalf of the DuBois Volunteer Fire Department, we ask you to help us celebrate our 2023 DuBois Community Days in the Park.

This year, we thank everyone who has stuck by us as we went through some trials and tribulations. We have continues to enjoy the support that our wonderful community has always shown us. We look forward to the park coming alive on Friday, June 16th as DuBois Community Days 2023 officially starts.

On Saturday evening, June 17th come line West Long Avenue, Brady Street, and Liberty Boulevard as the DuBois Volunteer Fire Department Parade Committee presents the 2023 Firemen's Parade. The grand finale of the weekend ends with the Starfire Fireworks as they present a pyro musical, with the fireworks show set to music.

Community Days in the Park and the Firemen's Parade are only possible by the advertisements purchased by local businesses and many generous citizens who contribute. Take a moment to browse through this book, and when you are thinking of purchasing an item or service in the future, please consider patronizing one of these companies.

We ask that when you receive information concerning next year's Community Days and Firemen's Parade that you remember how much you enjoyed this year and contribute.

Please have a safe, pleasant, and enjoyable weekend.
